A little more desktop. A little less friction.
A Windows desktop utility that puts taskbar visibility on a configurable hotkey. Show or hide the taskbar, choose whether secondary monitors follow, and give the work area back to your windows.

PROJECT BRIEF
TaskbarToggle integrates with the Windows shell and Win32 window APIs. The taskbar animation on this website is an illustration; the desktop application performs the actual window and work-area changes.
WHAT IT DOES
Configure modifier keys and an action key. The hotkey mapper supports letters, numbers, function keys, and navigation keys.
Locate the primary taskbar and enumerate secondary taskbars. An all-monitors preference decides whether secondary taskbars follow the toggle.
Adjust the primary display’s working rectangle when the taskbar is hidden, then restore the saved work area when it returns.
Send targeted work-area notifications and update the interface after changes. State locking coordinates taskbar updates.
THE FLOW
Choose your shortcut and monitor behavior.
Show or hide the taskbar from the keyboard.
Bring the taskbar and desktop work area back.
INSIDE THE CODE / PYTHON
Hiding a taskbar does not automatically reclaim its reserved desktop space. This function reads the primary screen dimensions and updates the Windows work area through SystemParametersInfoW. The companion restore path returns the saved working rectangle.
